We are looking for a recommendation for a hotel in Seward prior to departing on the Star Princess on June 1. What is convenient to the dock and have you stayed there before? What was your experience? Bob Decker/Deborah Kuznitz

I have stayed in several places in Seward and prefer the B&B’s, plenty of listings in their visitor guide www.sewardak.org

Last summer we stayed at the Best Western Hotel Seward. It’s not luxurious but clean and convenient. They offer a shuttle service to the RR and the boat harbor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Seward Windsong Lodge last year. Delightful comfortable accommodation, with a super restaurant right next door. We rented a car so the distance from the dock was not a problem. sms

Or I just find this site for my cousins, which if you go under businesses there are all kinds of B&Bs and hotels http://www.sewardak.org/ If you happen to be active or retired military or a DOD employee there’s a very nice Rec Center in Seward – http://www.usarak.army.mil/framwr/seward.htm Haven’t gotten to stay there and plans for this year too because my Dad is retired Air Force.
