RCI Signs Coffee Deal!
Question:
News from hubby’s cafeteria: they’ve switched to Maxwell House and the coffee improved substantially. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > Don’t get your hopes up… hubby gets Seattles Best at work – it’s > pretty nasty. > >Royal Caribbean International Signs Agreement With Seattle’s Best > >Coffee > Finally! Response:
Just got off the Radiance yesterday. I had a freshly brewed cup of decaf coffee every day at Books, Books and Coffee (it’s brewed while you wait). I can vouch that it was indeed free. They have a price list for the specialty coffees posted. I thought the coffee was very good. Oh, and I thought the free pastries and freshly baked cookies were good too!
Response:
I wonder why the coffee tastes so bad on a cruise ship…Is it the coffee or is it the water?..because my tea always tastes a little ‘off’ as well! May bring my own tea next time to be sure. Marie

I am coming a bit late to this party, since this topic was posted last month, but we were on the Radiance last weekend and were amazed to get a great cup of coffee. that is a first for us on a cruise, and we have been on Radisson, Princess, Holland America and Celebrity ships. Someone wrote here that you have to pay for the coffee, but a cup of coffee was free everywhere we saw – only speciality coffees were charged for. We are Starbucks coffee drinkers, and don’t usually like Seattle’s best as much, but it sure tasted good on the Radiance. Sheila
Response:
I guess coffee is a personal taste thing– I disagree entirely with your opinion of the Radiance coffee, Seattle’s Best. I happen to like my coffee fairly weak, and couldn’t touch the stuff they served. I ended up having a half cup of coffee with hot water added, and thought it was great then… Enjoyed the food otherwise, and the cruise… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I am coming a bit late to this party, since this topic was posted last > month, but we were on the Radiance last weekend and were amazed to get a > great cup of coffee. that is a first for us on a cruise, and we have been on > Radisson, Princess, Holland America and Celebrity ships. I have to agree with him. I had never heard of it until yesterday when I walked into my local Ralph’s grocery store and they had a couple containers of it. I heard it mentioned once on another cruise forum, but I thought they were referring to Starbucks, but just didn’t say the name.

You used to be able to get it FREE on RCL some years back but then suddenly it was a barwaiter item. Oh the Radiance, soda was free in the dining room and in the Windjammer & Sea View Cafe. $1.50 for a can elsewhere from the bar. And they gave you the can with a glass of ice. Regular coffee was free in those same venues, except if you wanted any speciality coffee’s they would ask for your "blue card." Terri

Well, when I vacation, cruise or even on business trips, the coffee is always great because I take my pot, coffee and cup. <G> Don’t leave home without it! Lloyd
