Mon Cheri: White vs.Natural

Question:

I’m having quite the dilemma:  I found my dress a while back (Mon Cheri #714) and bought it at a store that did not carry the dress (but I got a better deal when they ordered it).  I was told by the saleswoman in the store where I found/tried on the dress that the color was white.  So I ordered it in white only to find out this weekend that it was really natural.  I called the bridal store and was told that most likely the color could be switched to natural and the only consequence might be the shipping date changed a bit (by a week or two–no big deal).  My question is should I just leave it alone and take the white?  I know there are people on this ng who got that dress–was it in white or natural?  Yikes, this is affecting everything–if I get the natural then what color headpiece/veil do I get?  My flower girls dress was supposed to be white but would I change it to natural?  Things were so much easier when I thought I knew what I was doing :)  Sorry, I hape I haven’t confused anyone too badly. I checked my books and they do offer this dress in white or natural.  It also says silky Shantung.  If this is indeed silk, it will never have that stark white appearance.  If this is a mistake, check your bill to see that the proper color was ordered.  If it’s their fault, I would not hesitate to get it corrected.  They can get another dress it’s just a matter of them paying a rush charge. I’m not familiar with Mon Cheri’s business practices, but  I would insist that they (and the other vendors you’re working with) send you swatches of the white and natural material that the dress you ordered comes in so you can be sure it is the correct shade to match what you’ve already purchased. If what you ordered does not match, tell them you want it in the one that does. Any suppiler of clothing should be able to supply you with swatches, especially those that cater to brides! If the other vendors claim that they cannot do this, try to find the items at local stores and compare whatever swatches you do have. Good luck!
