families pooling miles
Question:
: Do any freq flyer plans let families : pool miles? Wisconsin being a community property : state, is there any legal basis for asking : for this for husband and wife? The only program I know of that allows families (actually up to 4 people with the same address, regardless of affiliation to each other) to pool miles is British Airways Executive Club. Miles can be used on USAir (and possibly also AA).

if you travel mainly in/out of Wisconsin, this isn’t going to help much, but, yes, Lan Chile will let spouses accumulate mielage into a joint account. I believe Ladeco went one further, pooling all pamily memebers mileage into a common account. Jim B.

Not only that but they really treat the FF program members really well, we used our mile to travel to the UK this July, the usual wonderful service and flight. Even an upgrade to business when the flight was overbooked! Now I ask you, which U.S. airline would allow you to fly during the middle of high season, then upgrade you too boot ? Remember all those posts about the lack of availability of FF seats ? Why can’t the US carriers understand that it is the FF who really keeps them flying and enjoys these perks to make the personal life just that much more tollerable. Guess who gets ALL of our families long haul business ????? We also use USAir here because of the FF program. Can’t be beat (now if they’d just update the ground reservations software), everything would be perfect.
