Extended Warranty Policy
Question:
We suffered thru a third party warranty….the fine print was not as bad as the interpetation. Our warranty was voided when the third party adjuster determined that there was traces of oil sludge on the oil filler neck..which they say proved we never changed the oil, which proved that we voide the warranty… Engine failed (bearings) at 28,000 on an 85 Olds wagon. My FORD warranty on our Mark was always honored, never a question, and promptly repaired with a smile.

It is not the warranty that is important it is the dealers. Are they consistant in standing behind the warranty? I had a new car warranty and an extended warranty and am now sueing Ford and the dealer for a major problem with my car that both of them say "doesn’t exist". On my way to court (now 20 months later) I decided to do some checking on my own-it is amazing what a person can find out if they are dilligent. Now I can prove my problem exist and Ford is going to have to recon with me. To bad they didn’t just try to pacify me in the beginning, now I am mad and have proof I have a dangerous automobile. Oh well, I am sure with the new recall I am the least of their worries, but I will remain a thorn in their side until they talk to me.
