Question:
Well, I have been lingering here for a long time. I am finally going to get like to hire one. I am from the Chicagoland area. How do I go about this? Do I look in the yellow pages? Does anyone here know of any? Also, do I contact a coordinator before I do anything? Or, can I book the church, etc. without one. Help! Thanks.

Hi there.. We interviewed a coordinator at the beginning of our engagement (and later decided we didn’t need one). If you’re looking for a good one to check into, though — the coordinator of the Illinois Association of Bridal Consultants is located right in Chicago. We interviewed him and thought that he was WONDERFUL — and I’m happy to give him a little promo even if we didn’t end up using his services.. The business name is Bridal Consulting and Event Planning by Frank — and you can reach him on AOL as "FrankAndon" — just drop him an e-mail.
I’m sure he’d love to talk to you. I think his minimum fee was a little under $2000 — I don’t know if that changed for ‘98. I’m NOT affiliated with him in any way..
