I have received "invitations" from a number of yellow pages type web sites. Many of them have gone to the trouble of pulling my contact info off of my web page and posting my "free ad" in the appropriate section of their site. I really don’t see the value of such ads. The chances of somebody who I consider a potential client going to your site, or any of the others, and calling me are pretty much zero. > We have work for a long time on a project called higara.com it purpose > to allow the world to advertise there business free with little hassle > and no need for meta tags or even a web site. Targeting the world is not such a good strategy. If your site specialized in consultants AND had something to offer the kinds of companies who hire consultants, I would list my business. > The site is easy to use, FREE and also always hides your email > address
This is a great point, and I commend you for going to this level to protect your users. I see the other yellow pages sites as places who do nothing more than list my email address in one more place for the spammers to find. >. You have tried approaching the world and it failed. Try brining in one company at a time. > Anybody feel like helping, or just placing your card on FREE??
In which category, Consultants outside Europe? That doesn’t give me any sense of hope. Mike

Maybe because nobody can find you. I doubt many people are searching Google for Free Business Card Advertising. And, even when you do, your site doesn’t show up in the first several pages. > I welcome anybody’s views to what they think of the site and why can’t > we get people to it?
What do they have to gain? If you don’t have traffic, what reason would I want to be there? Free isn’t everything if it’s a waste of time. Many would rather spend a few bucks on a page on a site with traffic than spend time getting a free page with no traffic. > Anybody feel like helping, or just placing your card on FREE??
Post a privacy policy backed up with a membership in the BBB or at least TrustE. You’re asking for email addresses and other personal information with no guarantee of what you’re going to do with that info. — McWebber No email replies read If someone tells you to forward an email to all your friends please forget that I’m your friend.

I found it confusing to use as I went through it. I didn’t see a search for US businesses but maybe I didn’t search correctly. I have wholesale gift merchandise. Is there a category for that? Inside Europe, outside Europe, what does that mean? Even if I posted my biz card there, how would it help me as a biz owner as there is not much on my card that would attract attention? Why don’t you try a free traffic site. Go to my site and then exit it, you will have a free link to My site on your screen. Maybe that would help you in getting the word out.
