Printing broker in CO looking for marketing ideas

Question:

Mark, Appreciate your input. My business is five years old and was doing fine until an unscrupulous PR publisher in New York City decided to not pay the $57,000 in outstanding invoices due to me for the printing of two issues of their PR magazine. The money and time it has taken to fight this through the courts has left me extremely short on funds and, as such, I was looking for some short term and long term ideas to market my company through the internet. I have read many books on the subject, but would always welcome some fresh new perspectives on the subject. McWebber, Thanks for your return post, I appreciate your time. As with most of us in the printing industry, I work in the Mac platform. I can certainly accept files in Photoshop, Quark & Illustrator. I am looking for ideas in this forum because of a major hit I took from an unscrupulous PR publisher in New York City. After I printed his last two issues of a PR magazine, he decided not to pay me the $57,000 and as such, I’m strapped for cash, big time (attorney fees, etc., etc.,etc…). I would like to offer my services via the internet, but need to do so without cash outlay until I get through this crisis. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated — I do great work at hard-to-beat prices. Hi Robert, The bad news is that you’ll never do it just waiting for marketing ideas over the Web. 96% of businesses fail in the first ten years, of the 81% that fail is because of their total lack of marketing expertise. You have much work to do!  Read as many books as you can on marketing, listen to tapes and attend many seminars to gain this vital information.  Nightingale Conent has some excellent some tapes on marketing. If you can accept Microsoft Publisher files or files from any of the more popular DTP programs you could see a lot of business come your way via the Internet. You should be able to accept .pub files via email or an online form that would allow the customer to upload their .pub file along with entering their payment info and print order into an online form. — McWebber http://McWebber.Com/ Web Hosting  |  McWebber FrontPage Bookstore http://mcwebber.com/mcwebber/bookstore/ ICQ#6421403  Newsgroup postings are not an invitation for mail Do not respond to my postings via e-mail – It will not be seen – Post publicly to reply You Spam Me – I Report You – Do Not Send UCE >My company is a small print brokering company in Colorado specializing >in publications, catalogs, books and four color printing.
