I see that you’re regressing by the message ,this indicates a lack of creativity and a certain staleness on your part. You seem to be weak in the end-game. And for you to indicate that you find it unpleasant prompts me to say…….Good. Other than that ,you claiming that any other individual in this group has an unpleasant disposition is patently hilarious.

That makes our experience roughly equivalent. I’ve done plenty of domain registrations and transfers. Does this make me an expert on DNS and BIND? Not at all. It just means I can fill out a form at internic.net >my objection to your previous post was that you claimed that because >two people had the same dns that they were the same person. this is >not correct, regardless of what you may think. do you think that every >internet user has their own dns?
But many Internet users *do* have their own IP address. I do. Many of my coworkers do. Static IP addresses may be harder to get now, but not everyone on the net has a dynamic IP address. Michael and Emma

Do YOU have any proof beyond the same? >>>you really don’t know what you’re talking about. you have no idea what >>a dns is or how it works. if you knew how to do a little research
So how does this mean that I don’t know what I am talking about or how a DNS works? I sure as hell do! >do you have *any* proof besides your constant stream of "i know what >i’m talking abouts"?
What kind of proof do you need? Just because you went to www.internic.net doesn’t make you an expert, it makes you a user of the internet. That’s nothing more than a free service for people who register domain names. How does one "prove" that one knows about servers, etc? Do I need to send you my resume? I don’t think so. You made allegations without knowledge… almost sounds like what you accuse me of. >since you asked, i earn my living as a web designer and internet >consultant. part of my job is the buying/transfering of domain names, >which involves work with dns. i’ve been making web sites since 1994 >and have been on the internet since 1992.
Okay, so you are not an administrator. You have no contact with the servers other than the uploading and downloading of data, and perhaps a little more. Until you have a server room in your home, and can do more than HTML, Perl, CGI… don’t talk to me about DNS numbers. I’ve been keeping servers up and running a little longer than you’ve been online. I’ve been *online* since there was an online. I still have my commodore 64. I built systems thereafter. I remember joining compuserve when 1200 baud rate was awesome, and monochrome, text only. The time you have spent online means NOTHING… if you haven’t absorbed the information. >my objection to your previous post was that you claimed that because >two people had the same dns that they were the same person. this is >not correct, regardless of what you may think. do you think that every >internet user has their own dns?
Noooo, this guy has consistently used that DNS, ALWAYS. Are you going to tell me that a guy with a DNS from Infi.net, same as the previous poster, who is now posting an AOL address is not the same? COME ON! A lot of us are just sick of this guy’s shit, and if you don’t know about it, take a back seat and read up on his harrassment. If you traceroute his dns, he shows as infi.net yet he posts bat.com . Just to set ya straight, I have an email from Bat.com which affirms they have never heard of this moron. Hmmmm. >i really don’t want to argue internet protocols on a dog newsgroup so
Could have fooled me. >i’m gonna explain this once and leave it at that. you can post that >i’m full of it all you want and people can believe whoever they wish.
Check his ISP and the rules of his ISP and postings to USENET are at http://www.infi.net/usenet.html his ISP clearly states that he may not post using any name but his own… read http://www.infi.net/general.html >dns stands for domain name server. DOMAIN. infi.net is a domain name. >infi.net owns multiple sequential DNSs. if you go to the Nic and see >for yourself (rs.internic.net), running a search on infi.net will give >you the following result:
<snip internic results …yawn> Yes but when his header says internic.net and his reply to says aol.com or bat.com don’t ya admit there’s something rotten in Denmark? Wasn’t it you who said don’t give the servers undue traffic by altering your address to avoid spam? YES IT WAS! >if you care to look, you’ll see that infi.net’s primary dns is >208.131.160.201. your original post listed billy grifford’s dns as >208.131.160.208. as i said, infi.net has sequential dns’s. all large >isps/hosts/whetever you wanna call them do.
Yep, but not all of them route through the same servers, with the same headers through the same city. Hmmm, now how did I get that far if I’m so dense? >please understand that i was *not* disuputing whether or not billy and >judy are the same person. *i do not care.* what i was disputing was
Ya coulda fooled me. you’ve spent a great deal of time *not caring* >your remark that two people with the same dns are the same person. >that you attempted to pass fiction off as fact. two people with the >same dns are using the same isp. that does not make them the same >person. hell, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are even in the same >city!
See above…. >i’m well aware of this. i also use an altered email address. the >difference between you and i regarding this is that i use it >*properly*.
Notice my appreciative post that you pointed out my error in my own reply to address. I will try real hard not to get bronchitis again, but I can’t guarantee it since I do have asthma. I admit it makes me a little tired when I am running a high fever, which I was doing when I set that data up. As I said before, what’s your excuse? Are you PMS’ing? >LOL! what does my choice of isp have to do with it, exactly? i use >netcom because they are reliable (at least in Canada they are) and i
Then you really don’t understand. Your ISP is the one who you have to comply with regarding Terms of Service? Does that sound familiar? >make my living on the internet and as a result don’t dick around with >isp’s that have down time or busy signals. if you bothered to read my >sig instead of relying on my header, you would have seen that i have >my own domain and you would have properly surmised that netcom is >merely a dialup. i haven’t checked my netcom email account in over 3 >years.
So far as I can tell, you design web sites. That is a pretty common trade these days, and common does come to mind when I view your pages. I hope you didn’t quit your day job…. >couldn’t anyone with a dialup account make this same empty claim?
Not when they are standing in a server room…… how many T-1’s and ISDN’s do you have entering your facility? >yes, i do. but i wasn’t referring to server crashes. i was referring >to the time spent routing bogus email by people not using fake email
They do relatively little damage. It’s the email bombers with the multi level marketing that cause the damage. >addresses on usenet properly. just like yourself. i was referring to >bigfoot.com spending time (and therefore money) determining that your >username was bogus when you could have cut the spammers off at the >pass by providing a bogus domain name.
That work of "determining" is done at the server end. Not a big deal. I have watched servers receive email bombs, and watch them crash… trust me, it isn’t from a few misrouted emails… not even 100. >i never said you didn’t have the right to say whatever you wish. i was >saying that perhaps you would be better off (*i* believe the ng would >be as well) if you would focus on what was said and not who said it. >perhaps you’ve heard the expression "condemn the deed, not the man"? >perhaps not. you are spending all your time and effort trying to catch >billy switching names. trust me, if this is indeed all the same >person, s/he’s laghing his or her ass off at how much of your time >s/he’s able to waste just by getting another email address.
it’s find by me if Billy Bob – Petey – Judy is laughing. When I get ill and I am stuck in the house, a little amusement never hurts. Actually the time I spent was inconsequential to me, but then again, I am not in a position where I HAVE to work. >and, as a matter of fact, previously i was defending exactly what >you’re trying to defend with the above sentence. billy’s right to say >whatever the hell he wanted, regardless of whether you like it or not. >but instead of disagreeing with billy’s posts, you chose to agree with >billy’s means. who gives a rat’s ass if he doesn’t want to provide you >with his personal email address. i don’t blame him! what’s important >is whether what he had to add to the thread was relavent or not. do >you not agree?
Well you’re pretty damn stupid if you don’t know the answer to that. I can’t wait till he nails you again. Based on his previous patterns, you should be up in about three days to two weeks, max. >i need no excuse, for i’ve taken no beating. and if i was feeling so >darn ill that it was affecting my judgement i would have kept my mouth >shut.
No you TRIED to deal a beating, though it missed the target by a large margin. How the hell can you say what you would say if you were me? You can’t, you haven’t walked a mile in my moccasins, so I suggest you hold back a little. I said I made an error based on some cold remedies…. and put refrain from posting because of that, so be it. I would be glad to not see your pompous hiney. This is what I do when I am sick and don’t have real work….. >you’ve assigned dns? where do you work? (i’m gonna guess it’s none of >my business, right? LOL.)
No, I don’t think it would be appropriate with stalkers like Mr. Infi.net on board that I would care to divulge employers. Why don’t you take your CNA certificate, and your MSCE certificate (if you can find them) and roll them up real tight… and cram them >any moron can do that. just go to the nic and do a search. takes two >minutes.
Ayup ayup, but it took a *special* moron like you to post it to the group, didn’t it? >proof (above) that i know what i’m talking about.

In case you are kind of thick … that was a rhetorical question not literal. >first of all, i never said that petey and judy and whoever else you’re >talking about aren’t the same person. what i said was that plops mom’s >logic was wrong and she doesn’t know what she’s talking about >regarding DNS. and regarding that, i am correct, whether this pleases >you or not.
Please, give us your theory on DNS’s, either privately or publicly. Take your tiara off your over dried, over treated mop of hair, and behave. I swear it will take this idiot assuming your very identity before you get the clue that he is a problem. He has been lurking and trolling for over a year. Just when he gets extremely WAY OFF BASE, he morphs. I would like to see your credentials regarding network servers, ISP’s, DNS etc. From whence do you speak my dear? Infi.Net does not work like AOL, et al, it is different. Although someone MAY obtain a different DNS, in this case, it did not happen. >obviously, you do not know how dns works either. no big whoop. lots of >people don’t. the difference betwen those lots of people and plops mom >is that they admit it. but rather than do that, she embraces her >ignorance and struts like she’s some private investigator with the NGs >best interests at heart.
Let’s try my favorite phrase yet again… ignorance and arrogance are not a good pair, and are worn worst by you. They really don’t match… >and as for " why Petey-Boys dns and all those of his many aliases over >the last year or so show the SAME dns" i would say that’s part of the >dns’s job. a dns is not unique to a user. *anyone* on infi.net will >have the same (or very similar) dns. because the dns belongs to >infi.net, not its users. infi.net owns a sequential series of dns’s >(as does any large host or isp).
So in other words, you’re saying that spotnaneously… several hateful and provocative posts were made through the same DNS and the same ISP, to the same newsgroup. When one disappears the next appears. They all bore the signature of a fake reply to address, and this is something we should call coincidence? >and, if this petey boy person you keep referring to is the person that >posts under the name "petyr" something then you’re quite a bit off >base in calling him my buddy. go back and read some of the first posts >i made on the dog groups and you’ll see they were against what he was >saying to mv tanning (i think it was) in the why’d my dog kill my >puppy thread.
Seems you too have been stricken and you’re too ingorant to realize it… natural selection? >which advice is that? not posting about things about which i know >nothing? that already is my policy. i know what dns is. and i see PM
What is a DNS then? Please do enlighten us all…. >lying and betting on other people’s lack of knowledge regarding it >tantamount to the dough-heads who make claims of "fact" about APBTs
I never said one word against any breed of dog, I love them all (some more than others). >under the guise of "best interest of others" (instead of serving a >personal agenda, blah blah blah). perhaps you don’t have a problem >with people passing off lies as truth. i do.
Now this is inflamatory. I have a serious problem with this. Either point out one lie, or cease and desist. You are really bordering on some serious allegations. >or, more likely, perhaps you have a bug up your ass about petey and >are letting the bug alter your perspective. i believe this is most >likely the case.
Or perhaps he is a little more in the know than you are… geee… could that be? >why am i pompous? because i pointed out that someone was *completely* >wrong in what they were talking about? or because i expressed the >opinion that i thought that doing so was an ignorant and selfish use >of the newsgroup?
Last time I checked you didn’t own the group. I can post things that are of interest to *some* of the group. Did it ever occur to you that not everyone cares about your causes? There is a basic premise of trust when writing to each other on this group. When we all use the same names and carry on arguments, it’s one thing. But when a person fraudulently changes their name every time the chips get down, it brings up an issue of trust. I don’t trust the people I write to when they can’t stay the same person, same sex, same (or even legit) reply to, nothing about it is right. I will definitely reveal this to the group, and if this bothers you, I suggest you get a good therapist, because it won’t stop. Plops Mom

This is where you are DEAD WRONG. Not only do I know a hell of a lot about DNS numbers, I have investigated this particular ISP before stating this. Your reply is not only ignorant, it shows your serious lack of knowledge on the basics of ISP servers, etc. I don’t know where you earn your living but I have gotten pretty far with my knowledge. >your lack of knowledge regarding internet protocols (such as DNSs) is >evident just by glancing at your usenet email address:
This is further evidence of your ignorance. Recent Multi Level Marketing software has the ability to spider newsgroups, and grab all email addresses it finds. >(but i’ve no doubt that’s all you care about.) when someone sends an >email to that address you don’t see it. but that doesn’t mean
No YOU don’t see it. Often times, when I get a bounced email, I immediately check the email address, and find these issues. Easily fixed. Using Netcom, I wouldn’t expect you to be totally net savvy, but I would expect a little more! >bigfoot.com doesn’t have to deal with it. bigfoot.com is a true >domain, so the email does reach them and they waste time and money >dealing with spam intended for you (and all the other bigfoot sillies >who find this to be an acceptable solution).
As I said, I have extensive experience "hands on" with ISP’s and FWIW I have cleaned up more than one email bomb. Do you have any idea how many emails it takes to crash a specific server? >do your server/provider/host/whatever a favor and change your address >do the rest of us on the ng a favor and stop worrying about how other >people are trying to keep their personal information personal. if you >disagree with a post, do so. but don’t resort to name calling and >insults and being an amateur shamus. you’re really not very good at >it.
Says you. I have every right to say whatever the hell I want, and that I shall do. Thanks, though I will revise my address, you’re right I got it backwards from what I intended, without realizing it. I have had a severe upper respiratory infection complicated by asthma. What’s your excuse for such a brash beating? Please send me your latest thesis statement on the DNS theories. I have assigned them, traced them, and dealt with the servers which route their mail. What do you have to back up your knowledge? Plops Mom

Wrong. Granted I don’t know a hell of a lot about it but I have the basic idea. lots of >people don’t. the difference betwen those lots of people and plops mom >is that they admit it.
Excuse me? Perhaps you could find a single passage in ANY of her posts that says anything one way or the other. but rather than do that, she embraces her >ignorance and struts like she’s some private investigator with the NGs >best interests at heart.
Bullshit hyperbole worthy of Petey himself. She merely pointed out the similarities ,whats your problem with that? Not that it matters. >and as for " why Petey-Boys dns and all those of his many aliases over >the last year or so show the SAME dns" i would say that’s part of the >dns’s job.
Dyyhhhhhhhh YA think?????? a dns is not unique to a user. *anyone* on infi.net will >have the same (or very similar) dns. because the dns belongs to >infi.net, not its users. infi.net owns a sequential series of dns’s >(as does any large host or isp).
No shit Sherlock ,I already told ya I had the basics I don’t need your song-n-dance.However when PeteyBOys aliases consistently show up with the same dns and the same old rhetoric it’s a pretty fair indicator. As an aside I’ve corresponded with Infi-Net at length about this problem ,including currently have you? ya >and, if this petey boy person you keep referring to is the person that >posts under the name "petyr"
Nice sidestep ,haven’t been here very long then have you. something then you’re quite a bit off >base in calling him my buddy.
Not at the moment I’m not. You’re defending that particular troll against yet another person who has exposed yet another of his aliases. The shoe fits ,you want it off take it off yourself. go back and read some of the first posts >i made on the dog groups and you’ll see they were against what he was >saying to mv tanning (i think it was) in the why’d my dog kill my >puppy thread.

Yap on. You’re attempting to divert attention from the basic fact that yet another of PeteyBoys aliases has been exposed. She’s not " passing lies off as truth" she’s telling the freaking truth and all your attempts at analogies in reference to the APBT are completely invalid. >or, more likely, perhaps you have a bug up your ass about petey and >are letting the bug alter your perspective. i believe this is most >likely the case.
More bullshit fron you ‘eh? Perhaps you need to stick around the NG a while longer ,even peteyBoy has been around longer than you have. >why am i pompous? because i pointed out that someone was *completely* >wrong in what they were talking about? or because i expressed the >opinion that i thought that doing so was an ignorant and selfish use >of the newsgroup? >L.

>>>you really don’t know what you’re talking about. you have no idea what >>a dns is or how it works. if you knew how to do a little research
I missed it. All I saw was that you design web sites. That does not a system admin make hon. Plops Mom, the Queen of my Domain, all I survey and then some…… hehehehhehehhe <private joke>

Hey "L." What makes you better than me at this point? You have now attacked me and Old Dog. How is that different than what you claim I am doing?

No YOU don’t see it. Often times, when I get a bounced email, I immediately check the email address, and find these issues. Easily fixed.

No shit Sherlock ,I already told ya I had the basics I don’t need your song-n-dance.However when PeteyBOys aliases consistently show up with the same dns and the same old rhetoric it’s a pretty fair indicator. >which advice is that? not posting about things about which i know >nothing? that already is my policy. i know what dns is. and i see PM >lying and betting on other people’s lack of knowledge regarding it >tantamount to the dough-heads who make claims of "fact" about APBTs >under the guise of "best interest of others" (instead of serving a >personal agenda, blah blah blah). perhaps you don’t have a problem >with people passing off lies as truth. i do.
try looking at the way you did so ,in point of fact try looking at the above passage you wrote wherein you once again come off as a pompous ass.
Response:
>please. you’re making yourself look very silly with the constant >"whodunnit!" of petey/billy/judy that no one besides yourself seems to >care about.
No she’s not. And you’re in error when you state that she’s the only one who cares about it. you’d easily see that two >*completely different* people can have the same dns.
Really? Then explain why Petey-Boys dns and all those of his many aliases over the last year or so show the SAME dns? Do you expect us to believe that a whole slew of different folks use the exact same rhetoric. >do the rest of us on the ng a favor and stop worrying about how other >people are trying to keep their personal information personal. if you >disagree with a post, do so. but don’t resort to name calling and >insults and being an amateur shamus. you’re really not very good at >it. >L.
And you’re really not very good at deflecting attention from your buddy Petey there are ya and in addition I didn’t see anyone die and make you God and moderator so perhaps you should take your own advice. As far as " being good at it" she’s right on the mark with her catch of Petey-Boys latest morph into yet another ID. You don’t seem to be much good at anything but being pompous.

For those of you who are tracking the infamous newsgroup heckler, Petey, who soon changed his identity to one Billy Grifford: When the gig was up with Billy Grifford, he changed it again. Now he is none other than Judy Mason from AOL.COM. We have yet to determine the exact number of personalities in his head. His tactic is to TROLL newsgroups. His posts are quite slanted and worded in order to annoy specific people. His true internet service provider is Infi.Net and his DNS number is 208.131.160.208 If you find a posting with this DNS, you can be sure that it is merely a hoax of our "infi.net troll". This person never posts his actual name or email address, and engages in long threads of arguments with many different people. If you need More help on this topic, feel free to write to me. Plops Mom

Check his ISP and the rules of his ISP and postings to USENET are at http://www.infi.net/usenet.html his ISP clearly states that he may not post using any name but his own… read http://www.infi.net/general.html >dns stands for domain name server. <snip internic results …yawn> Yes but when his header says internic.net and his reply to says aol.com or bat.com don’t ya admit there’s something rotten in Denmark? YES IT WAS! >if you care to look, you’ll see that infi.net’s primary dns is >208.131.160.201. your original post listed billy grifford’s dns as >208.131.160.208. as i said, infi.net has sequential dns’s. all large >isps/hosts/whetever you wanna call them do.

Are you PMS’ing? >LOL! what does my choice of isp have to do with it, exactly? i use >netcom because they are reliable (at least in Canada they are) and i
Then you really don’t understand. Your ISP is the one who you have to comply with regarding Terms of Service? So far as I can tell, you design web sites. That is a pretty common trade these days, and common does come to mind when I view your pages. I hope you didn’t quit your day job…. >couldn’t anyone with a dialup account make this same empty claim?
Not when they are standing in a server room…… how many T-1’s and ISDN’s do you have entering your facility? >yes, i do. but i wasn’t referring to server crashes. i was referring >to the time spent routing bogus email by people not using fake email

When I get ill and I am stuck in the house, a little amusement never hurts. couldn’t anyone with a dialup account make this same empty claim? > Do you have any idea how many emails >it takes to crash a specific server?
yes, i do. but i wasn’t referring to server crashes. i was referring to the time spent routing bogus email by people not using fake email addresses on usenet properly. just like yourself. i was referring to bigfoot.com spending time (and therefore money) determining that your username was bogus when you could have cut the spammers off at the pass by providing a bogus domain name. >Says you. I have every right to say whatever the hell I want, and that I >shall do.
i never said you didn’t have the right to say whatever you wish. i was saying that perhaps you would be better off (*i* believe the ng would be as well) if you would focus on what was said and not who said it. perhaps you’ve heard the expression "condemn the deed, not the man"? perhaps not. you are spending all your time and effort trying to catch billy switching names. trust me, if this is indeed all the same person, s/he’s laghing his or her ass off at how much of your time s/he’s able to waste just by getting another email address. and, as a matter of fact, previously i was defending exactly what you’re trying to defend with the above sentence. billy’s right to say whatever the hell he wanted, regardless of whether you like it or not. but instead of disagreeing with billy’s posts, you chose to agree with billy’s means. who gives a rat’s ass if he doesn’t want to provide you with his personal email address. i don’t blame him! what’s important is whether what he had to add to the thread was relavent or not. do you not agree? >Thanks, though I will revise my address, you’re right I got it >backwards from what I intended, without realizing it. I have had a severe >upper respiratory infection complicated by asthma. What’s your excuse for >such a brash beating?
i need no excuse, for i’ve taken no beating. and if i was feeling so darn ill that it was affecting my judgement i would have kept my mouth shut. >Please send me your latest thesis statement on the DNS theories. I have >assigned them
you’ve assigned dns? where do you work? (i’m gonna guess it’s none of my business, right? LOL.) >traced them
any moron can do that. just go to the nic and do a search. takes two minutes. > What do you have to back up your knowledge?

Hey "L." What makes you better than me at this point? You have now attacked me and Old Dog. How is that different than what you claim I am doing?
Plops Mom

first of all, i never said that petey and judy and whoever else you’re talking about aren’t the same person. what i said was that plops mom’s logic was wrong and she doesn’t know what she’s talking about regarding DNS. and regarding that, i am correct, whether this pleases you or not. obviously, you do not know how dns works either. no big whoop. lots of people don’t. the difference betwen those lots of people and plops mom is that they admit it. but rather than do that, she embraces her ignorance and struts like she’s some private investigator with the NGs best interests at heart. and as for " why Petey-Boys dns and all those of his many aliases over the last year or so show the SAME dns" i would say that’s part of the dns’s job. a dns is not unique to a user. *anyone* on infi.net will have the same (or very similar) dns. because the dns belongs to infi.net, not its users. infi.net owns a sequential series of dns’s (as does any large host or isp). > And you’re really not very good at deflecting attention from your buddy >Petey there are ya

Hi L. >please. you’re making yourself look very silly with the constant >"whodunnit!" of petey/billy/judy that no one besides yourself seems to >care about.
Some of us do care about it, you don’t speak for the entire group of readers. >ignore the person. put them in your killfile if you want. but enough >already.
Says you. >you really don’t know what you’re talking about. you have no idea what >a dns is or how it works. if you knew how to do a little research >regarding the way the internet works, you’d easily see that two >*completely different* people can have the same dns.
Plops Mom

Hi, please. you’re making yourself look very silly with the constant "whodunnit!" of petey/billy/judy that no one besides yourself seems to care about. ignore the person. put them in your killfile if you want. but enough already. you really don’t know what you’re talking about. you have no idea what a dns is or how it works. if you knew how to do a little research regarding the way the internet works, you’d easily see that two *completely different* people can have the same dns. your lack of knowledge regarding internet protocols (such as DNSs) is evident just by glancing at your usenet email address: your "clever" use of nospam is doing no one except yourself any good. While you may or may bot be correct or incorrect in that regard what you most assuredly are incorrect on is your seeming opinion that Petey/Judy et.al are not the same. >obviously, you do not know how dns works either. no big whoop.

try looking at the way you did so ,in point of fact try looking at the above passage you wrote wherein you once again come off as a pompous ass.

No she’s not. And you’re in error when you state that she’s the only one who cares about it. you’d easily see that two >*completely different* people can have the same dns.
Really? Then explain why Petey-Boys dns and all those of his many aliases over the last year or so show the SAME dns? And you’re really not very good at deflecting attention from your buddy Petey there are ya and in addition I didn’t see anyone die and make you God and moderator so perhaps you should take your own advice.
