Hi all, I’m planning to setup a sales team in the printing business. Is there any tips? Or is there any info on the web? Thanks KK

Hi KK, When building any type of sales team, you’ll need to interview people thoroughly to determine their personal characteristics. For instance, there a three main character types in sales, they are called Assurers, Engagers and Compellers. Assurers account for 70% of the population, and are generally people who like to help others. These people are best suited to looking after existing customers. Remember Assurers can’t take rejections, so don’t waste your time trying to turn Assures into Engagers or Compellers because it won’t work.. Engagers account for 20% of the population. They are people that never accept "no" for an answer, because they are not mentally effected by constant rejections. These people are best suited to where there is constant rejection. And as they only represent 20% of the population, they are great produces making high money usually in telesales. Compellers account for only 10% of the population. Compellers are the natural born closers. They feel psychologically compelled to make people buy And as they only represent 10% of the population, they are rare hence the highest paid people in sales. I understand there are some good psychological tests available to determine peoples’ suitability, but I’ve no experience of them..But if anybody knows of any good ones, that might be useful. .
