Thanks Sheree and Charles for your take on this. You are both correct. Only after all payments are finalized and Princess has calculated the rebate, will the account be credited. That is saying a lot in one sentence. This reconciliation is often not accomplished as easily and quickly as we would like. Princess calculates when Princess wants to calculate. We will be nice and see if they can pull it off for us on this group. We look forward to issuing the credits to the onboard accounts as that way, everyone will be able to enjoy "the fruits" on their cruise. For your information a TA does not get their commission until the cruise is over. How can they give a Rebate that they have not received yet? That is not good business. If someone is dong this than maybe they are not giving the full amount due. I have met Peter and he is an honest, true businessman that does things by the book. He was also Generous to give gifts to people that were not even going on his cruise. I think there were five of us that had Peter Berlin’s travel agency T-shirts on the MGC. It was just a way to *pass the torch*, sort of like Ermalee passed the torch to Pam this year for the summer group party. Besides, I think we all looked *spiffy* <vbg>!! I agree with Peter. When I made my deposit for the ggc, the final payment date was clearly written on the confirmation.Maybe it’s just me but I didn’t need another piece of mail to file.Besides I’m so excited about the cruise there was no way I could forget he payment date. Once I make final payment the trip becomes more real and I start my packing lists! Linda

What is going on with the GGC2003? Why is Peter Berlin not giving the rebates at final payment? Did the group committee approve this? If so why weren’t the group members informed? If not why is the committee allowing Peter Berlin to do this? Why weren’t final statements mailed to the group before the due date? How much will the rebate be and when will we receive it? I don’t like buying a cruise without knowing what it is going to cost.

Not going on the GGC2003 but I don’t see why you would expect the rebate at final payment. There would be no way for a rebate to be calculated until after all final payments were paid. Also the web site as I remember alway gave an estimated amount of rebates. That should have told you that you would not know the actual amount of the rebate until sometime later. — Charles

Since this is our first GGC —we assumed that we would either receive the rebate on our final booking –or receive a ship credit for the amount. I guess our question would be—which is it? B&B > (Ggc2003upset)
