Yes Tom, there are companies that do this, mine being one of them. You are looking for a consultant/broker type of agency.  Being a big ticket item, it is going to be next to impossible for you to find somebody GOOD who will provide that service based 100% upon a percentage of the sales.  Good luck to you and your enterprise. —– remove ".nospam" if you want to email me :-)

Don’t most of these companies already offer tools to do this? What makes yours different? As to agencies working on a share of profits or sales, yes, you can probably find someone to do it but ONLY if the product is exceptional. — Tom G.

I’m a software developer who knows very little about marketing. I have developed a product for businesses, and I have received fantastic feedback from those that have used it.  I even have a full version of the system accessible on the web.  I do want to market it as a new software product (as opposed to giving it away as freeware) but I don’t have the skills, research or resources to do this properly. Are there reputable companies that act as a marketing agencies?  For example, they would assess my product, its position in the marketplace, and manage its marketing (for a reasonable cut)? FYI: My product is a database portal that gives companies easy, simple and fast access to their internal database systems.  The target customer would therefor be companies with central database servers (Oracle, Sybase, SQLServer) that want a tool to give business users quick access to their data using an internet browser.  The live system at http://www.queryexpress.com includes access to several separate demonstration database and dozens of live reports. Thanks, Tom Hilbig
