A4 2000 Bose Radio Problems – anyone else?
Question:
Same problem here with the frequency changing. No big deal to me so long as the rest of the radio works. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > I have had my 2000 A4 1.8TQ since October and I’ve noticed that there is a > problem with the Bose radio. I have had this problem too, maybe 5 times since I got the car 2 weeks ago, not severe enough a problem for a service trip IMO. — //Jason M Page //MCSE & MCP+I //Warning, SPAM countermeasures //armed and tracking. (to respond personally substitute jpage)

I have had my 2000 A4 1.8TQ since October and I’ve noticed that there is a problem with the Bose radio. Occasionally when I insert the key to start the car the radio will have jumped one notch – for example, if I have the radio on 95.9 FM when I shut the car off it will be on 96.1 when I start it. If I take the key out and start the car again it will jump to 96.3! Has anyone else experienced this? The dealer has ordered a new radio for me but I’m worried about what’s involved with changing it. Does the entire dash have to come out to change the radio? What are the risks if the dash has to come out? Thanks. — Brian D. Ther are 2 slots on the bottom of the radio to the left and right (5 mm by 0.5 mm) they push 2 metal tabs in there and out with the old in with the new 1 minute max.
